Game Positive are completely voluntary.
We are currently looking for a capable copy editor for all of our
editorial content. A copy editor edits and makes improvements to all
written works before they are published on the website. Responsibilities
include editing documents for spelling, grammatical and formatting
errors, communicating with the staff regarding said issues, working
with the admins to help ensure speedy publication on the web, and
most importantly, being able to meet deadlines. Due to the real-time
nature of much of our content, a large window of availability may
be required during business hours.
Qualifications: You must have previous editing experience or
be a current english or journalism major in college for this position.
A firm grasp of the concepts of the english language will be needed.
A degree in english or journalism is a huge plus. Interest in video
games not required, but recommended.
Hours/Availability: Due to the real-time nature of our content,
you may frequently be called upon to work during the business week.
While assignments will not be consistent during these hours, a candidate
will need to be reachable and ready to work during this time.
Pay: None at this time (voluntary). Those who are dedicated and reliable
may be granted a paid position in the future.

We are currently looking for capable news editors to post accurate
and timely news to the website. A news editor needs to know about
the industry as a whole and use that knowledge to find and report
on the latest news. Responsibilities include scouring the internet
for the latest news and writing about it in an accurate and non-biased
fashion. A news editor is typically responsible for posting 2-3 short
to medium length news items a day. Depending on a candidate's availability,
this number can be lessened or increased.
Qualifications: Previous writing experience is highly recommended.
Those without it will need to write up samples for us to judge your
writing capabilities. You must have a passion for video games. A degree
in english or journalism is a huge plus.
Hours/Availability: Negotiable. An average news editor posts
2-3 times daily.
Pay: None at this time (voluntary). Those who are dedicated and reliable
may be granted a paid position in the future.

for various platforms. A reviewer must not only enjoy playing video
games, but have a critical awareness of all of a game's parts. Responsibilities
include writing accurate and non-biased reviews, communicating with
the staff and other admins regarding said reviews, and meeting assigned
deadlines. A review editor is typically given 1 to 2 weeks to play
through a game until its end and write a review. More time will be
provided if needed. We are primarily looking for PC, PS3, and Wii
owners, but those with other consoles may still apply.
Qualifications: Previous writing experience is highly recommended.
