On his PlayStation blog last week, director Dylan Jobe announced that a patch with Warhawk version 1.1 would arrive by the end of the month. This patch will add Arbiters to the game, which are official representatives that will be sent to covertly keep an eye on the game and its players.
"
These are members of our online services groups in both the US and Europe that will be overseeing the leader boards, community stats and will also be 'in the trenches' joining game servers for first-hand observation," explained Jobe. "
Their PSN account names will remain a secret. They have the authority to warn players, call a player out to prove his or her skills, or render judgment & think Judge Dredd."
Warhawk Arbiters will have the ability to warn, kick, temporarily or permanently ban players, or even wipe their rank points clean, if they see fit. Their identities will remain a secret, so players are urged to be on their best behavior at all times.
In an additional blog post yesterday, Jobe informed of a second patch that will be available in December which will come packed with a few exciting additions to the game. Apart from fixing some of the glitches and exploits mentioned in
our review, version 1.2 will also add DualShock 3 rumble support, and new map variants for each of the game's five levels designed to accommodate 4-8 players. The game supports up to 32-player warfare, but the developers have noticed the popularity of smaller battles, and are creating content accordingly.
