Street Fighter IV's roster has been officially updated, as five new playable characters have been announced. Famitsu magazine has reported that a handful of classic Street Fighter characters will indeed join the currently announced cast of Ken, Ryu, and Crimson Viper. These new characters are Guile, E. Honda, Chun Li, Zangief, and Dhalsim.

In addition to the cast of characters, this latest Street Fighter title will also feature something known as the "ultra combo" system. While little is actually known about its specifics, it promises to light up the screen with some impressive visual effects. Yoshinori Ono, who is producing the title, says to expect "fireworks that are bigger than super combos."

Street Fighter IV is expected to hit arcades later this year. Don't be surprised to see it make its way to a few consoles as well.
