Square Enix announces E3 lineup

Square Enix announced their E3 lineup yesterday, featuring diverse titles ranging from the upcoming July release of Final Fantasy IV DS to multi-platform games such as The Last Remnant. It looks to include more than ten games, but markedly, no mention was made of the heavily anticipated Final Fantasy XIII or XIII Versus which have been in development since before the PlayStation 3 was released.

Nonetheless, the titles included are impressive to say the least. DS owners in particular seem to be in luck as more light will be shed on the long awaited and recently announced Chrono Trigger DS. PSP fans have something to look forward to as well in Star Ocean 1 and 2 which are being remade exclusively for Sony's handheld system.

The full list of titles include: The Last Remnant, Chrono Trigger DS, Final Fantasy IV DS, Dragon Quest IV, Star Ocean 1 and 2, Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, and from the Taito, Exit DS and The Legend of Kage. Curiously, Square Enix also announced a game by the name of Song Summoner, which will find a home on the iPod.

Regarding the lineup, the President and CEO of Square Enix said "With simultaneous global releases for several platforms on their way, gamers around the world will be able to experience the full grandeur of our games as never before."
