GTA IV makes the move to PC

Rockstar Games announced that the massively popular Grand Theft Auto IV will be moving to PCs this fall. The game which has sold millions worldwide on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 has also stirred controversy in the tradition of the games that came before it. The PC edition of GTA IV will see a November 18th release in North America, followed by a European release three days later.

Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar, made the following statement regarding the game: "We are very excited to be releasing the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 4. The whole team is dedicated to bringing an amazing gaming experience to the PC. The game looks and plays beautifully on PC and we can't wait for people to play it."

This raises some hopes that the game, which played well on the consoles outside of some slowdown, will perform better on properly equipped computers. While nothing has been said about whether PC fans of the game will have access to the downloadable content available to Xbox 360 owners, Rockstar has promised an expanded multiplayer mode, though few details on its specifics were offered.
