A new retail version of the PlayStation 3 online title, Warhawk, will appear in the near future. The price of the Blu-Ray version of the game will drop by $20 dollars to match the $39.99 price point of the version that is downloadable from the PlayStation Store. The new version of Warhawk will no longer include the bluetooth headset that was in the $59.99 bundle.

Warhawk is Sony's online-only deathmatching title, where players can take control of various vehicles, from tanks to the game's titular aircraft, the Warhawk. When piloting a Warhawk, players are given the option to use the tilt features found in the Sixaxis controller to maneuver through the air.

According to the video game chain, GameStop, the release date for the $39.99 Blu-Ray version of the Warhawk is slated for October 10, but Sony has yet to confirm the date. For more information on the game, see our full review of Warhawk here.
